Maung Sawyeddollah

Founder & Executive Director, Rohingya Student Network (RSN)

Maung Sawyeddollah is a Rohingya human rights advocate and peacebuilder and the founder and executive director of the Rohingya Student Network (RSN). A survivor of the 2017 Rohingya genocide, his work focuses on education, youth leadership, justice and accountability, and ensuring meaningful Rohingya participation in decisions affecting their future. He has brought Rohingya perspectives to the United Nations, diplomatic missions, international institutions, and civil society. Sawyeddollah holds a B.S. in business administration from the University of the People and a B.A. in international studies from New York University.

Chantal Daniels

International Cooperation Advisor, Office of the Prosecutor, International Criminal Court

Chantal Daniels has served as an International Cooperation Advisor with the Office of the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC) since 2014. She has worked on numerous investigations and prosecutions, including the Office of the Prosecutor’s Bangladesh/Myanmar investigation. Previously, she worked with international NGOs in the Netherlands and the United Kingdom on conflict prevention and resolution and with the UN Peacekeeping Operation in the Democratic Republic of Congo (MONUSCO) on efforts to combat sexual violence. She holds a B.A. in development studies and an M.Sc. in conflict studies.

Aung Kyaw Moe

Rohingya Human Rights Advocate & Former Deputy Minister of Human Rights, National Unity Government of Myanmar

Aung Kyaw Moe is a prominent Rohingya human rights advocate and humanitarian who served as Deputy Minister of Human Rights in Myanmar’s National Unity Government (NUG), becoming the first Rohingya to hold a ministerial-level position within the NUG. He has extensive experience in humanitarian response, human rights, and advocacy, with a particular focus on Rohingya inclusion, political representation, equality, and federal democracy. His work continues to advocate for a future in which Rohingya can live in Myanmar with full rights, citizenship, dignity, and security.

Eva Buzo

Barrister & Director, hūmanus

Eva Buzo is a barrister and director of hūmanus. She began working with the Rohingya community in 2017 as protection lead for BRAC during the onset of the humanitarian emergency following the mass displacement of Rohingya from Myanmar. Since then, she has continued to support Rohingya activists and communities in their pursuit of justice and accountability.

Alsya Feydra

Researcher & Co-founder, Deconstructing Indonesia

Alsya Feydra is a researcher whose work examines the construction and decolonisation of Southeast Asian national identities, with a particular focus on Muslim identities in Indonesia. She recently completed her M.A. in Islamic Studies at Columbia University, where her research examined Arab identity and religious authority within Indonesian politics. She is the co-founder of Deconstructing Indonesia, a project tracing the origins, development, and contestation of Indonesian national identity. She also works with the Rohingya Student Network (RSN) on developing a curriculum focused on feminist Qur’anic hermeneutics and its broader implications for young women.
